Vajrapani Buddhist Centre
Vajrapani Buddhist Centre is a residential Buddhist centre located in the Highfields area of Huddersfield. It was founded in 1997 by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso as a non-profit organization and member of the New Kadampa Tradition.
Vajrapani Centre's resident teacher Ani-la Kelsang Pagmo, has been practicing Buddhism for 10 years and has taught throughout South East England and in Rome. Kelsang Pagmo is much loved by her students for her practical teachings and warm sense of humour.
The centre has a friendly residential and extended community making all visitors feel welcome and comfortable.
Vajrapani Centre is experiencing an exciting period in it's development. We have moved into a new building; the former Birkby Baptist Church. For the near future we will be renovating this building, continue to maintain the opening of our meditation rooms, Peace Gardens and run our World Peace Cafe.
